Lady Jane's Antique Mall is nestled in the pineywoods of east Texas, in fact, Jacksonville, and is located 30 miles south of Tyler. The mall is housed within the walls of a pre-existing building of the pre-1890's. The building was originally the Liberty Drive-In/Kelly Tires and later was acquired by the renown "Holcomb Candy Kitchen" established early on. It is a unique mall with a lot of ambience and quite a bit of nostalgia consisting of over 35 booth spaces with many dealers utilizing more than one space. Janie Barber, the sole owner and proprietor, acquired her love and desire of antiquing in the 1970's. After having several booths in many different malls over the years decided to open a small business of her own. Lady Jane's Antique Mall began it's 7th year in February 2008 and by the grace of God will continue for years to come.
The dealers are distinctively characteristic in their many wares that they select for their booths. Selections from vintage jewelry, books, pottery, dinnerware, fine china, depression glass, furniture, figurines, and many other collectible items are just to mention a few. Also, Howard's Restore-a-Finish products, Tripar Line of plate hangers, and Aladdin parts are available. There are so many items of interest that you would need to put several hours on your agenda to shop in this unique mall. In addition, located within the mall is Lady Jane's Photography Studio and Gallery. The studio has available some vintage clothing, accessories, and props for that special photograph. Not only is there a studio area but also a small gallery of some unique black and white photographs taken on road trips traveling the back roads of Texas. Some of these photographs can actually be viewed at http://www.LadyJanesPhotography.com. In reviewing all of this information I feel you would be surprised, so why not stop by for a visit and get a good ole Lady Jane welcome. |
